“We have two VW Golfs, one for each of our elder daughters. Recently one of the Golfs went in for its annual service and John Austin raised a concern regarding the cam-belt and said it should be changed. We agreed and the work was carried out. Three weeks later as my daughter was driving on the M25, the cam-belt broke; she was able to call the AA and the car was delivered to John Austin. John Austin confirmed the belt had broken and that the car would need a new engine. The Golf is 13 years old however John Austin organised for a brand new engine to be delivered and fitted, completely repairing the car. They made it very clear the work was being carried out free of charge as a genuine VW part had failed causing the problem. It is so rare to come across people in the car industry who conduct their business in the way John Austin do. We will continue to use this excellent company in the future.” …
